Accreditation

Woodbury University is accredited by:

  • The Senior Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC: 985 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100; Alameda, CA 94501; 510-748-9001).  WASC granted Woodbury its original regional accreditation in 1961.

Woodbury University is approved by the Postsecondary Commission, California Department of Education.

In 1994, the architecture program was accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).

The School of Business received its accreditation from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Spring 1998.

In 1991 the Interior Architecture Program was accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly known as the Foundation for Interior Design Education and Research or FIDER).

The School of Media, Culture and Design was granted full accreditation by NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design) in Fall of 2008.

WASC Accreditation

Woodbury University is accredited by the Senior Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). WASC granted Woodbury its original regional accreditation in 1961.

Woodbury University is currently in the midst of its reaccreditation process with the Western Associaton of Schools and Colleges. All WASC-accredited schools must undergo this process every five years.

As a part of this process, we have created a website containing links to materials which are not only informative of the process, but documents which have been and are being created out of the process. Business of
Entertainment

Woodbury University's School of Business and Von Johnson & Associates, Inc. (VJA) will co-sponsor the fall edition of The Business of Entertainment Lecture Series on October 16. The series is free to the public and will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Fletcher Jones Foundation Auditorium on Woodbury’s main campus at 7500 Glenoaks Blvd. in Burbank. This series features timely information and discussion on issues facing the filmed entertainment industry - the region's number one employer.  Previous topics have included production financing, piracy, 3D exhibition, technology disruption, Internet distribution, VOD and international theatrical distribution.  Stay tuned for details, including guest speakers, topics, and program information!
